- When I was younger, I dreamt of living in a New York loft. OperaKvarteret gives you much of the same feeling, says interior decorator Annett Sturk, known from Norwegian television. OperaKvarteret is undoubtedly the most spectacular project she has ever been involved in.
- The people moving in here will come very close to nature because of the giant windows. The light from the Oslo fjord is unique and shifts through the day and the seasons. This has influenced on the choice of colours in the apartments, says Sturk.
Upgrading
High Quality
The cornice on the floor and ledges around the doors are specially dimensioned and profiled. All inside doors have different colours and have been commissioned directly to OperaKvarteret on a limited edition series. Rather than using ordinary parquet on the floors, Sturk has opted for a wide, single-barred oak parquet to bring out the lights in the apartments. Furthermore, the tiles in the kitchen and in the bathroom as well as the kitchen benches have been selected with scrutiny.
Sturk has worked closely with Gina Marie Nilsen of Solheim + Jacobsen Arkitekter AS.
