The giant in auditing, accounting and consulting moved all their 600 employees to their new headquarter in Bjørvika in December 2007. The whole building can show for 15 000 square meters and PwC dispose 13 500 of these. On the first floor, there is big conference centre including auditorium. On the top floor you can find a roof restaurant and a canteen.
The PwC building has unique exposure to the west and towards the centre. It’ situated right next to the new outlet of Aker River in prolongation of Hotel Opera and Oslo Atrium. Eastwards from the PwC building, there will mainly be built offices all the way up to The Middle Age Park. On the seaside below, you will find the new parade street of Bjørvika, Nylands allé.
The PwC building was put on paper by the bureau A-lab and they were awarded the international architecture prize “Europe 40 under 40”. The prize is awarded by the European centre of Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies in Chicago.
