OSU applies the principle of environmentally directed development in Bjørvika. We strive to constantly minimize energy use in the buildings and to use eco-friendly materials.
Our goal is to comply way beneath with what new standards for use of energy. In order to achieve this, we will:
- Use long-distance heating
- Use systematic calculations of energy use already in the first phase of the developmentproject
- Energy-smart use of glass in all facades and fronts
- Solid insulation around windows and casings
- Additional insulation in walls
- Reduction of cold bridges
- Special attention to requirements in air resistance in indoor and outdoor design
